How can I participate in the BIOGAS Convention International 2020?

Anyone who has registered via our ticket shop at www.biogas-convention.com can take part. After your registration you will receive a confirmation e-mail. Shortly before the event, you will receive all the information you need to access the event app on Eventmobi, which we use. If you did not receive a confirmation / email, please check your spam folder.

 

The technical requirements for your participation

As a participant you need a stable internet access and an up-to-date browser.

You can participate via PC, notebook, mobile phone or tablet. You will hear the sound through loudspeakers or headphones. You can ask questions to the speakers in writing during the lectures. Contact to other participants is possible via written chat or 1:1 video chat.

The event platform can be accessed directly from your PC using the following common desktop browsers:

Where can I find the BIOGAS Convention event platform?

On your PC/notebook:

eventmobi.com/biogas2020/login

Enter "biogas2020international" as the event code. Enter your e-mail address from the registration and enter a password for yourself. You will already have access to the event platform of the BIOGAS Convention.

Mobile phone/tablet:

Download the Eventmobi app from the Play Store (Android) or App Store (Iphone) and enter the event code "biogas2020international" on the start page. Then enter your e-mail address from the registration and a password for yourself. You will then have access to the BIOGAS Convention event platform.

 

Do I need a microphone or a webcam?

Not necessarily. You do not need a microphone or webcam to attend the lectures, just a screen and - if you want to ask questions - a keyboard. As a participant you will not be connected via audio or video. You can easily ask your questions to the speakers via the question area (on the right side of the livestream).

Only if you want to meet other participants in a 1:1 video chat do you need a microphone and webcam, we recommend a headset.

 

I want to take part with my mobile phone, how does that work?

For mobile devices we recommend access via the Eventmobi app. Download it from the Play Store (Android operating system) or the App Store (iPhone).

As soon as your e-mail address has been entered on the event platform, you can enter "biogas2020" as the event code and then register with your e-mail address and your own password.

 

Can I practice accessing the event platform beforehand?

Yes, the platform will be put online at the latest one week before the event, then you can try everything, familiarise yourself with the platform, edit your participant profile, etc.

 

What can I do on the BIOGAS Convention event platform?

You can view all presentations, ask questions to the speakers, network with other participants. If you wish, you can add a photo to your profile and post information about yourself or your company to introduce yourself to other participants. After the event you can view the recordings of the lectures or download documents until the end of March.

 

What do I do if I cannot access the event platform?

Call our participant administration: (0) 511 / 898813-17. Usually there is a wrong e-mail address or a typing error.

 

What do I do if I have technical questions during the event?

On our event platform you will find our technical support with all contact details in the menu on the left.

 

I only want to attend the general meeting. How can I do that?

Register via the ticket shop. Since you need access to the virtual general meeting, participation is only possible after registration. You will receive further information on participation shortly before the general meeting.

 

I cannot watch the livestream, what should I do?

Update the page. Switch off your adblocker. The event platform can be accessed directly from your PC via the following common desktop browsers: Firefox 20 and above, Safari 6.0 and above, Chrome 19 and above, Edge 40 and above.

 

I can't hear anything, what should I do?

Check your computer settings. Have you turned it up? Are the headphones or speakers enabled?

 

Which browser is best?

Can I still buy a ticket on the day of the event?

Yes, you can, but please allow some time until your access to the event platform is activated.

 

Where can I find my personal messages?

In the app or on the platform under "Event Feed", always in the middle of the header bar.

 

What is the difference between message and notification?

You receive messages personally from other participants. Notifications are information from the organiser.

 

How can I design my profile?

To change your profile details, click on your profile picture in the top right-hand corner of the event platform and go to "Edit profile". You can include a photo, post information about yourself or your company and specify your social media links.

 

Where can I find the recordings?

On the event platform in the menu, there is an item for the recordings, which will be made available shortly after the end of the event.

 

Where can I find the lecture notes / presentations?

On the event platform there is a menu item for "Documents", which will be made available shortly after the end of the event.

 

How long can I watch the recordings and download documents?

Until the end of March 2021.

 

What does participation cost?

You can download the ticket prices here or view them directly in the ticket shop.

 

Can I transfer my participation to another person?

When and where will the next BIOGAS Convention & Trade Fair take place?

From 7-9.12.2021 at the Nuremberg Exhibition Centre, NCC Mitte.

 

What happens with my data?

How can I cancel?

If you would like to cancel, please send an e-mail to franke@congresscheck.de. Cancellation is possible free of charge up to 14 days before the event.

 

What is the BIOGAS meeting?

During the BIOGAS Convention we offer all participants a virtual room which you can access via the event platform (menu: BIOGAS-Treff). To do this, click on the link, allow access to audio and video (we recommend using a headset) and give your avatar / figure a name and, if necessary, a photo. Now you can enter the room. As soon as you approach another participant with your avatar / figure, you can (video-)chat with each other, whether in pairs or in a whole group. Just try it out! It's fun and if many people join in, you can quickly meet other participants.

We recommend participation via PC or notebook, as the display on the mobile phone is very small.
